OFFICIAL RULES FOR KNOWLEDGE NETWORKS' SWEEPSTAKES
FOR THE PUBLIC POLICY SURVEY
- NO PURCHASE OR COMPLETION OF SURVEY OR STUDY IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN SWEEPSTAKES AND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING PRIZE. Knowledge Networks, Inc., P.O. Box 40, Cranford, New Jersey 07016 ("Knowledge Networks") is the Sweepstakes Sponsor.
- One (1) winner will be randomly selected from all eligible Sweepstakes entrants. One (1) Prize will be awarded to the winner. The Prize is an iPad, with a suggested retail value of $499. Actual retail value of Prize may vary.
- Entries must be received by Knowledge Networks no later than 5:00 pm PST on November 15, 2010 ("Promotion Period").
- You may enter the Sweepstakes by either (a) answering the qualifying questions for the study located at the link in the invitation you received, or (b) entering the Sweepstakes by providing the Sweepstakes entry information located at the link www.knpanel.com/mag in the invitation you received. Both forms of entry require the use of the PIN number on the invitation, and confirmation that entrant has read and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules.
- No mechanically or electronically reproduced entries will be accepted
- Entrant must be 18 years of age or older and a resident of Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, or West Virginia. Only one entry per household and per PIN number is allowed. Employees of Knowledge Networks, its affiliates, subsidiaries or related companies and immediate family members of employees, are not eligible to enter or win.
- Knowledge Networks will conduct a random drawing on or about November 20, 2010 among all eligible Sweepstakes entries received. The winner will be notified by email, telephone or mail at Knowledge Networks' option and may be asked to verify their eligibility within five days of notification, or an alternate winner will be chosen. Undeliverable or unclaimed Prize will be awarded to an alternate winner selected via a random drawing of all other eligible entries received. The Prize will be shipped to the winner at the US address provided to Knowledge Networks at no cost to winner.
- The odds of winning depend on how many entries Knowledge Networks receives. Only one (1) Prize will be awarded. No assignment, transfer or substitution of Prize is permitted and Prize has no cash value. Knowledge Networks in its sole discretion reserves the right to provide substitute prize of approximate equal value.
- By entering and/or accepting the Prize in this Sweepstakes, entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, the use of winner's name and city and state of residence for any purpose, and that all decisions of Knowledge Networks are final and binding.
- Knowledge Networks is not responsible for lost, late or misdirected entries or for entries which are damaged or illegible or incomplete. Knowledge Networks is also not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Knowledge Networks on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof.
- IN NO EVENT WILL KNOWLEDGE NETWORKS, OR ITS AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES AND RELATED COMPANIES, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS, BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF ENTRANTS' ACCESS TO AND USE OF INTERNET SITE WWW.KNOWLEDGENETWORKS.COM, THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR, IF THE WINNER, THE ACCEPTANCE, USE OR INJURY FROM PRIZE. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, EVERYTHING ON THE KNOWLEDGE NETWORK SITE AND IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS MAY NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
- Except as to the deadline for submission of entires, Knowledge Networks reserves the right, in addition to the other rights stated in these Official Rules, to modify any dates or deadlines set forth in these Official Rules or otherwise governing the Sweepstakes.
- All submissions become the property of Knowledge Networks, and cannot be acknowledged or returned. This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law and subject to all applicable laws.
- Any taxes or other assessments on the Prize will be the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitutions or transfer of the Prize will be permitted.
- Your name, email address, and other personal information provided through entry into the Sweepstakes will not be shared with any third parties unless required by law, and information collected on Sponsor's web site is subject to its Privacy Policy posted on the site. If you are the winner, by participating in this Sweepstakes and accepting the Prize, you consent to the disclosure of your initials and last name, and city and state for purposes of responding to inquiries from anyone seeking the identity of the winner of this Sweepstakes.
- To receive notice of the name of the winner of this Sweepstakes, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Winners List Public Policy Sweepstakes, c/o Knowledge Networks, Inc., P.O. Box 40 Cranford, NJ 07016 on or before December 15, 2010.
- I acknowledge that by entering the Sweepstakes with my PIN number, I have read these Official Rules and accept them as governing the Sweepstakes.
